My husband is in Iraq as part of a 15 month deployment right now. It's encouraging to read about others who see the end in sight - welcome home!

Happy Homecoming!! Lots and lots of thanks to you and your husband and your baby for all your sacrifice.

P.S. I came over from Burgh. I read your last post and since you watch Top Chef too, we must now be friends. It's fate. No one I know watches it and I LOVE it!!

I was refered over here! Just wanted to say CONGRATS on the homecoming. AS a Navy brat I understand all too well how hard it is to have a loved one away from home.
So happy he is returning safe and well!

Thank you to everyone! And major thanks to BBM for the shout out - I can hear my site ticker whirring away :-)

We are all home and happier than ever. The child is enamoured with her daddy and they've been having giggle fits all evening.

I can't wait to share pictures with everyone!

(And Catwoman - I'm still the household roach killer, as the husband runs and screams like a little girl.)

I was told by Burgh Baby's Mom to stop by, and I always do as I'm told, so Welcome Home!! I think you and your husband are both heroes! Enjoy every precious moment together as a family.

i came here from Burgh Baby mom's blog and lost about 27 minutes of my life caught up in your posts. Post after post, not that you care because you are off kissing your husband right now.
or chasing roaches who are pissed cuz' you stole their mold.
I like to think it's the first though.

you are fantastically awesome (is the language major in you cringing? It's ok. you can) and I am happier than happy to find your blog! Now go catch up, I am subscribing and will some what patiently wait til you are back!

Burgh Baby's Mom sent me. And I? Am here to say HAPPY HOMECOMING!! Thank you for what you've given all of us.

(is it odd that I am teary eyed?)

My cousin returned Wednesday from his second tour (really? WHY is it called that? Not like the troops are over there taking in the tourist attractions!!). I know our family is breathing easier.

Seriously. You tell your husband some stranger from blog world said thank you and I'm proud.

:)
